One email, once, on the day ReturnSignal opens to sellers. That is the entire purpose of this list.
What this is not
It is not a trial and it does not create an account. It is not a purchase and no payment details are involved. It is not a reservation, it holds no place in any order, and it carries no date.
What we ask for
An email address. There is no name field, no company field, no role, no phone number and no free-text box, because none of those would change what we send you.
When you submit it, ReturnSignal transfers the email address you submitted and the IP address your request came from to Buttondown — the first so the confirmation email can be delivered, the second so Buttondown can tell a real signup from an abusive one. ReturnSignal does not store either one.
What happens next
- Buttondown sends a confirmation email to the address you enter. Nothing is on the list until you open it and confirm.
- When ReturnSignal opens to sellers, we send one notice to the addresses that confirmed.
- You can unsubscribe at any time, from any message. An address that has unsubscribed is never added back automatically.
